About

An independent software studio

BURSUsofts builds secure software for the people who run infrastructure. Our first product, BURSU Connection Manager, ships on every major platform; whatever comes next will be held to the same promises.

One universal app, on the App Store.

An application built for each kind of machine

The cheap way to be everywhere is one build painted onto every screen, and it feels borrowed on all of them. We took a slower road. Windows gets an application written for Windows. macOS and Linux share one desktop application built and tested for both, packaged the way each of them expects. iPhone, iPad and Android each get an application of their own. What they share is not the code but the promise: the same connections, the same vault, the same names for the same things.

That promise is the whole design, and it is why a change to it lands everywhere together rather than on your desktop in June and on your phone in November.

Four languages in the products, one on this page

Our products speak English, Russian, Ukrainian and Georgian, because that is who writes to us, and a string that exists in one of those four does not ship until it exists in all of them. This site is English only, and deliberately so: a studio page translated worse than the software it describes says the wrong thing about the studio.

What we are not doing

There is no telemetry in our applications and no analytics on this site. We do not know how many connections you have, what you called them, or where they point — and the sync service is built so that we could not find out if we were asked. That is a deliberate limit on what we can learn about our own products, and it is the right trade for software that holds the keys to everything else.

Talk to the people who build it

Business enquiries, bug reports, feature requests and security findings all go to the same inbox, and it is read by the people who would have to do the work.
